Where do we go from here? A Special Report on Youth Aging Out of Care

Working with youth-serving agencies across Alberta, 15 focus groups were held and the voices of over 140 young people and 75 of the adults who work with them were heard. The focus groups and youth feedback collected form the basis of this report and support the vision of the Office of the Child and Youth Advocate (Alberta): that the rights, interests and viewpoints of Alberta’s vulnerable children and youth are affirmed and acted upon. This event was hosted on April 30, 2013 to both an in-person and webcast audience in an effort to release the report, examine the recommendations and discuss what can be done at street-level to address the recommendations.
