PolicyWise CEO Retiring in September
On behalf of the PolicyWise Board of Directors, Dr. Jackie Sieppert, Chair, and Ms. Michelle Okere, Vice-Chair wish to announce the retirement of Ms. Robyn Blackadar from her position as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective September 2023.
The Board is grateful for Robyn’s years of support, and for her contributions to the well-being of children, youth, families, and communities within and beyond our province. Although the Board and team will miss her very much, we understand her choice and wish her the very best in her new adventures.
Robyn’s strong commitment and leadership over the last 11 years have been instrumental in the significant success of PolicyWise. Recruited in 2012, she brought a unique and valuable set of skills, experience, and knowledge to a challenging role. The first seven years of her tenure were marked by the amazing accomplishments of the Child & Youth Data Lab, increased capacity for policy-relevant academic research, and highly valued provincial evaluations and community-based studies. In 2019, under her leadership, we restructured our organization due to the loss of government grants and stayed viable through the pandemic public health crisis. She worked hard under significant pressure to ensure we became financially self-sufficient and enterprising, while maintaining staying true to our charitable purpose.
The Board has launched a national search for the next CEO of PolicyWise. Our organization’s future is bright, and we are ready to move forward on a solid foundation. The search for our new CEO is being managed by KCI Search + Talent.
