
Zakk Morrison
Zakk Morrison has a strong record of bringing public sector services together across southern Alberta. He credits his success to working with many talented and passionate professionals who share a goal of building healthier communities. His colleagues value his skills in:

Zakk holds a Master of Science from the University of Lethbridge as well as a Bachelor of Science and a National Advanced Certificate in Local Authority Administration from the University of Alberta. Over the past 20 years, he has held many roles, including Coordinator of the Be Fit for Life Centre and the Alberta Sport Development Centre-SE at Medicine Hat College, and Comprehensive School Health Advisor with Alberta Health Services. He is now the Executive Director of Barons-Eureka-Warner Family and Community Support Services. One highlight of his career was founding and publishing Strive Magazine, which celebrated local amateur athletes in southeastern Alberta.
Zakk and his team are known for their innovative work. In 2022, their Youth DO Crew initiative won Canada’s United Nations Sustainable Development Goals award for Youth Education and Economic Development.
Zakk joined PolicyWise’s Board of Directors in 2023.
