About the role

As a Board Director, you will help guide our organization’s direction. This is a governance role, which means you will focus on big-picture decisions—not day-to-day operations. • Support and uphold PolicyWise’s vision and mission.
  • Approve the strategic direction and track progress toward goals.
  • Act in the best interest of the organization.
  • Attend Board meetings, committee meetings, and the Annual General Meeting.
  • Represent PolicyWise in the community, including at meetings or events when needed.
  • Help hire and evaluate the President & CEO.
  • Promote our vision, mission, and accomplishments within your professional and personal networks.
  • Oversee how PolicyWise manages its investment funds and resource allocations are managed.
  • Follow the Board’s rules of conduct.
  • Ensure PolicyWise meets all legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.
