2021-2023
STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS
Well-being is the foundation of everything we do!
At PolicyWise, we believe all children, youth, families, and communities can thrive in respectful, safe, and supportive environments shaped by wise decisions. We inform, identify, and promote effective social policy and practice.
We understand well-being as a holistic concept. It is a balance and interconnection of the social, physical, emotional, cognitive, environmental, and spiritual elements of life. We have identified six domains of well-being for children, youth, families, and communities.
Domains of well-being
Meaningful relationships and supportive environments
Cultural connection, identity, and autonomy
Healthy development and growth
Protection and freedom from harm
Recognition and healing from trauma
Physical health and access to necessities
