Dr. Robbie Babins-Wagner

Dr. Robbie Babins-Wagner, PhD, RSW, is the CEO of Calgary Counselling Centre and an Adjunct Professor and Sessional Instructor, Faculty of Social Work, University of Calgary. She has over three decades of experience as a non-profit leader, therapist, and trainer. Her research interests focus on mental health, counselling outcomes, social finance, and social innovation.

Robbie is the author or co-author of more than 20 scientific articles and book chapters and has provided numerous talks to student, professional, and public audiences in Canada, the US, Europe, and Israel. She has also received several awards during her career including:

  • The Lieutenant Governor of Alberta’s Circle on Mental Health and Addictions True Leadership Award
  • The University of Calgary Alumni Achievement Award
  • The 2017 Grant MacEwan Lifetime Achievement Award
  • The 2018 Sessional Instructor Teaching Award from the University of Calgary

Robbie joined PolicyWise’s Board of Directors in 2021.
