We are happy to announce the recipients of the 2018 Secondary Data Use Grant competition! Join us in congratulating the following winners:
Dr. Brae Anne McArthur, postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, will be accessing AOF data to conduct a research project entitled “The roots of good character: Understanding the influence of maternal optimism on children’s social-emotional development.”
Kaylee Ramage, doctoral student at the University of Calgary, will be accessing AOF data to conduct a research project entitled “Towards a broader understanding of the association between pregnancy intention and maternal mental health: using a multidimensional measure with a longitudinal cohort.”
Dr. Maria Ospina, assistant professor at the University of Alberta, will be accessing ACE 2013 data to conduct a research project entitled “The joint effects of direct and indirect adverse childhood experiences on the occurrence of asthma in adulthood: a secondary data analysis.”
Melissa Mueller, master student at the University of Calgary, will be accessing AOF data to conduct a research project entitled “The Impact of Screen Time on Child Development Outcomes and the Role of Parents.”
Natalie Scime, doctoral student at the University of Calgary, will be accessing AOF data to conduct a research project entitled “High-risk pregnancy and breastfeeding initiation and duration among a community-based cohort of women in Calgary, Alberta.”
Dr. Okan Bulut, associate professor at the University of Alberta, will be accessing FASD 2017 data to conduct a research project entitled “Examining the measurement properties of what Albertans know about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders survey.”
Dr. Rochelle Hentges, postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, will be accessing AOF data to conduct a research project entitled “The developmental cascade between prenatal stress and child mental health problems: A test of competing theories.”
