Research with an impact – A group of Alberta researchers, whose research has been supported by PolicyWise for Children & Families, shared their key scientific learnings and experiences engaging policy and decision makers. Research areas included Maternal, Child and Family Health, Indigenous Populations, Child Development, Mental Health and Access to Services.
Evidence-Informed Policy – A facilitated conversation on the importance of evidence-informed policy with GOA Deputy Ministers; Dr. Carl Amrhein, Health, Dr. Curtis Clarke, Education and David Morhart, Human Services. This panel was Chaired by Dr. Pierre-Gerlier Forest, Director and Palmer Chair, School of Public Policy, University of Calgary
Scientific Cafe – Participants accessed PolicyWise-funded research projects through this 60-minute session. You can watch recordings from five of 15 sessions. Presenters had six minutes to convey findings from their research that can inform the future design and development of programs and policy and four minutes for discussion.
Launch of SAGE – Secondary Analysis to Generate Evidence – As many stakeholders are researchers or members of community-based research projects, PolicyWise officially launched SAGE, our digital platform designed to store and share research and community data. Staff were on hand to discuss the data that is currently available through SAGE.
